Safety colour changing filter
The colour changing filters are professionally designed compressed air filters that do not need any prefilters and can be used in contaminated compressed air. All the usual filtration principles are combined in this filter. The incoming supply of compressed air is pre-purified by centrifugal separation in the lower section of the housing. Immediately thereafter, the air flows into a coarse coalescing filter. The fine filtering takes place in a special filter element. This filter element binds the oil particles and the extremely fine particles to form special granules that gradually turn dark red in colour with saturation.
This change in colour constantly informs the operator (even when the compressed air system has been turned off) about the status of the filter element and warns about any impending damage to the system.
Application: In very sensitive controls, laboratory applications, laboratory measuring technology, electrical industry. The FWFAK 12 type is additionally applied in the medical and pharmaceutical industry for breathing air purification as well as dental laboratories.
Temperature range: max. +65°C
Input pressure: 3 - 10 bar
Pressure drop: at full load max. 0.15 bar
Warning: The usage in highly pulsating airflows (e.g. after piston-compressors) should be discussed in advance with the manufacturer, as inappropriate assemblies can lead to damage!
